O.J. Simpson was granted parole yesterday on some charges connected to his 2008 kidnapping and armed robbery convictions. But the former football star will remain locked up in a Nevada jail for now. Since he was convicted on multiple charges, Simpson still faces at least four more years in prison on sentences that were ordered to run consecutively. Simpson pleaded for leniency in front of a two-member parole board last Thursday, saying he regretted his actions and has tried to be a model inmate while behind bars. He was convicted of holding up two sports memorabilia dealers at a Las Vegas hotel room, and has been locked up for the past five years.
