Many parents use their smartphones to quiet their fussy children, so it makes sense that Samsung’s newest device is “childproof.” The company claims their Galaxy S4 Active, which is water-resistant and dustproof, was conceived and designed with kids in mind. But since the phone went on sale earlier this month, the complaints are already rolling in. Some users have found that the supposedly-waterproof gadget actually leaks when submerged. What’s more, water damage appears not to be covered in the warranty (nor is damage caused by accidents, misuse, sand, dirt or neglect). When something sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
