Guess this is what raising three kids will do to you. A former banker turned stay-at-home-mom has publicly admitted that she regrets giving up her career. Lisa Endlich Heffernan says that since she quit her Wall Street job to be a full-time mom, her world has become smaller. She worries her children believe she’s done nothing with her life, and she feels that she’s let down the generation of women before her who fought for her right to join the workforce. Heffernan’s advice for new moms is to “keep a pilot light going” under their professional lives, maintaining some sort of connection with their work and maybe even working part-time, as she wishes she had.
