I'm 20, and I have always had long hair. It goes down to about the middle of my back. Recently, I have had the serious urge to chop it all off – Miley Cyrus style. I told my boyfriend what I was thinking and he flipped out! He said he doesn't like the way girls look with short hair, and he loves my hair long – so why would i want to cut it?

I can kind of understand where he is coming from. I tell him how I like him to dress and wear his hair, and he does it, so shouldn't I respect his opinion on my hair? Should my boyfriend's opinion matter in deciding how a cut and style my hair or should I just do what I want?
