Last week at work, I overheard some ladies gossiping about me in the bathroom! Apparently there is a rumor going around the office that I am sleeping with a married co-worker. I am not sleeping with anyone from work! I am so mortified about this, I don't know what to do.

The man that they accused me of having an affair with is a friend, and we occasionally have lunch together, but it's absolutely non-sexual and completely innocent. I don't know what to do to stop these rumors. I'm so embarrassed and angry!

I have thought about going to talk to my manager, but I'm not sure if it's appropriate to bring trivial office gossip to his attention, and I don't want to rat anyone out I work with. Please help. I want this to stop, but I don't know what to do about it!
