(Yahoo!) - Will they, or won't they?! It's the age-old … OK, 2-month-old question, but even Miley Cyrus' father, Billy Ray Cyrus, isn't sure if his daughter will actually walk down the aisle with fiancé Liam Hemsworth.
While promoting his new memoir "Hillbilly Heart" on "Nightline," the elder Cyrus was asked about his 20-year-old daughter's pending nuptials. "I know as I was writing the book, I wanted to keep that particular moment as open ended as possible," shared the musician. "I didn't know the answer. You know they're young. They're kids. The great news is they're great friends. They're really, really good friends. If you end up getting married, that's your business too."
So, does he think they will ever get hitched?
"I don't know," Billy Ray replied. "I play it by ear and whatever's meant to be, that's the way it's going to happen."
Cyrus and Hemsworth, 23, were having serious relationship troubles at the end of February. The "Party in the U.S.A." singer was repeatedly photographed without her engagement ring, and Hemsworth spent about a month in Australia as they sorted through their issues.
However, the couple reconciled upon Liam's return to the States at the end of March and wedding planning resumed.
Maybe Cyrus' upcoming album will drop hints as to what the future holds for "The Last Song" lovebirds?
