Trump Launches New U.S. Space Command

President Trump is officially launching the new U.S. Space Command. During an event in the Rose Garden yesterday afternoon, Trump called it a “landmark moment.” The launch of Space Command is seen as a step toward creation of a U.S. Space Force.

Trump said it is another new chapter in the extraordinary history of the U.S. military. He warned that adversaries are "weaponizing Earth's orbits with new technology targeting American satellites."

Trump said the Space Force will be a critical component of defense and national security. The U.S. Space Command will be helmed by Air Force General John Raymond.
